Cruising to pamper events
Sailing is one of the oldest means of emission-free travel and just being in the ‘great outdoors’ promotes a sense of well-being as well as a connection with the world around us. Add to this positive experience an event based on a luxury yacht, complete with first class catering and pampering and you’ve got a recipe for success.
Catering can range from quality packed lunches on board to cocktails and gourmet dining while at anchor. Alternatively you can moor up next to one of the many historic waterside restaurants and pubs.
Dependant on tide and winds, the Solent has a range of great attractions you can visit. Popular venues include the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, Beaulieu and Cowes, the home of yachting, on the Isle of Wight.
Whether participants wish to just chill and chat or gain some hands on experience sailing the yacht, this day out will provide everyone with a memorable shared experience to remember.
Racing to thrill - fun days out
As a sport, yacht racing is extremely eco-friendly as it combines nature (wind power) with technological advances to create fast, impressive racing machines. Its unique appeal is that complete beginners have the opportunity to compete in a team alongside the best professionals. It's the fastest growing sport in the world and with its green credentials it easily complements any company’s eco policy.
When the conditions are right, sailing a powerful racing yacht can be an incredible adrenaline buzz. Experiencing constant boat speeds in excess of 11 knots is a thrilling experience and will provide a day out never to be forgotten.
Our professional skippers provide full training throughout the day and will explain how a racing crew is organised, the attention to detail involved and how each task would be performed under racing conditions. Everyone will be given the chance to have a go at the different tasks onboard - from helming to grinding the winches to trimming the high-tech race sails – before being put through their paces in a practice race.
Another option is to offer training days that culminate with entry into an existing industry regatta or one of the many open regattas. Here your team will be pitched against other teams, comprised of a mix of professionals and amateurs. Entering a regatta adds purpose and credibility and offers numerous business benefits such as PR and hospitality opportunities.
Facilitated development
Much like the work place, sailing is a complex environment with many individual tasks occurring at the same time to reach the overall team goal. Racing is guaranteed to bring the best out in anyone with the slightest competitive spirit and will inspire your employees with an overwhelming sense of team camaraderie and renewed team morale.

Flexible training programmes
All our team-building programmes can be as simple and short as one boat, one day programmes or they can be scaled up to include more than one boat over any duration. The benefit of more than boat is that teams can put their race training to the test in an actual race - competition is always good for focusing the mind!
