What we offer is 'hassle free' yacht racing for individuals and small groups with like-minded people under the guidance of our professional crew. Activ takes care of all the racing logistics, we provide a professional and experienced crew to oversee the racing and to ensure a safe but fun and challenging event.
The programme offers:
- beginner sailors and novice racers the chance to experience top class racing at its best while learning the skills and tactics required
- intermediate sailors the chance to develop their racing skills and learn by example from our professional crew. Activ Racing is also an ideal way to earn extra sea miles for Yachtmaster or Day Skipper qualifications
- experienced sailors to fulfill their passion for the sport without the overheads of owning their own boat or the hassle of arranging a full crew each time they want to race. With Activ Racing you can take part in some of the best regattas in the country, enjoy the challenge of racing against some of the best crews not only from the UK but sometimes from around the world, while at the same time, developing your skills and learning from our experienced team of professional sailors.
Our yachts
The Activ Racing Programme takes place aboard top specification, race-prepared, Beneteau 40.7' s. Each comes complete with high specification Kevlar North sails, race specification running rigging, upgraded winches, full race navigation instruments and a speed-optimised hull for top class performance.
We chose the Beneteau 40.7 because of its impressive racing record around the world and that it has proved itself perfect for competitive offshore racing. Built as performance cruiser/racers these yachts rate very well under the IRC handicap system and are perfect for novices to experienced sailors alike.
