Let's be honest, many yacht owners don't get to use their boat as much as they had hoped - around 20 days a year is the average use. So it makes sense to earn money from the investment, offset the running costs of your boat, which would otherwise be sitting pretty, but empty.
What is more, if you register your boat as a VAT registered company you can reduce the cost of purchasing your yacht and you can claim the VAT back on all repairs and renewable items.
